This week our classes learned all about BUTTERFLIES! They read many stores like The Fuzzy Caterpillar, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and Butterfly, Butterfly. The children enjoyed learning “butterfly” and “caterpillar” in sign language! Throughout the week, their art projects were so colorful and a nice reminder that it is actually Spring (even though the weather doesn’t feel that way!). They practiced sequencing and recalling story events, and used their descriptive language skills to describe the different types of butterflies they saw and heard about in each story. Each of them was so excited to learn about the 4 stages of a butterfly and create their very own mini book!
