Every Child’s Story Begins at Square One

Square One Kids Academy has been one of the greatest blessings for our family. Our daughter is absolutely thriving thanks to the incredible teachers, thoughtful curriculum, and loving environment they create every day. She is excited to go to school, comes home having learned something new, and has grown so much socially, emotionally, and academically. The school is always spotless, communication is excellent, and every member of the staff genuinely cares about the children and their families. What truly makes Square One special is that they are so much more than a daycare - they are family. When our son was born and our family was going through a difficult time, they went above and beyond to support us with kindness, compassion, and flexibility that we'll never forget. Knowing our daughter is loved and cared for as if she were their own gives us complete peace of mind. We couldn't recommend Square One Kids Academy more highly to anyone looking for exceptional childcare.

We have been sending our child for a year and a half. That first day of drop off we worried because leaving your little one with someone who isn’t family just doesn’t feel right, but somehow we managed and we are so grateful for the teachers here! They are welcoming, everyone knows our child’s name even if they are not the classroom teacher. I love that there is an indoor and outdoor play area and that the outdoor play area is attached. Some others I visited the children had to be walked over to the play area. There is a library too! The daycare is kept extremely clean, decorated very cute and always smells nice. Each month there is something going on or a theme. Ok so the one possible downfall you may find is the cost, but listen I went to a few other daycares that were not much cheaper, but had a lot of negatives! These days what isn’t expensive? But when it comes to the safety and happiness of my child there is none and our child loves it there. Drop offs are easy and pick ups are sometimes hard because they want to stay lol. Also I will point out that daily AM and PM snacks for the kid is included which I think is pretty cool. Check the place out for yourself I don’t think you will be disappointed.

My son has been attending Square One for about six months. We moved over the summer and were really nervous about the transition to a new day care, but Felicia and his teachers truly made it a seamless experience. We have been so happy with the care and communication at Square One. The detailed updates in the app throughout the day are great, and we are happy with the curriculum. Our son’s developmental skills have consistently progressed, and he very obviously loves his teachers. The facility is really nice - big, well organized, and clean, and they take security very seriously which we truly appreciate. There have been a lot of fun extra options to participate in like soccer, a Halloween parade, and a holiday show. We definitely recommend Square One!

I cannot say enough good things about Square One Kids Academy! Our son has been attending the school for almost a year and we could not be happier with our experience. The school is such a welcoming, happy, friendly place. It is kept immaculately clean and beautifully decorated with artwork from the students. The indoor and outdoor play spaces are a hit with our very active toddler. The teachers are the most incredible, friendly, loving educators. They are supportive and encouraging and our son has learned so much in the time he has been there. They go above and beyond to make each child feel special and work with them as an individual. Their themes each week are fun and engaging and they always have exciting activities planned. Communication with the teachers and staff has been seamless and they are always so responsive and easy to talk with. We have also been impressed with the school's transparency when communicating necessary information. You can tell how much care and love Felicia puts into Square One and we feel lucky to have found such a wonderful school!

We absolutely love Square One and most importantly, our son loves it here. We started him when he was just 5 months old, and like any brand new parents, we were understandably nervous about leaving our baby in someone else’s care. From the very first day, the staff made us feel welcomed, supported, and confident in our decision. They took the time to get to know our son, listened to our concerns, and showed genuine care and patience. Seeing how comfortable and content he was, even so early on, reassured us that we had truly made the right choice. The staff are incredibly loving, patient, and attentive, and they care for each child as if they were their own. We love seeing all the art projects our son completes and receiving photos and updates of him during his soccer lessons and movement classes, which helps us feel connected to his day even when we are not there. The environment is very clean, bright, and welcoming. Every morning, our son is greeted with a smile, which speaks volumes about the warmth and positivity of Square One. Knowing he is in such a safe, nurturing, and happy place gives us tremendous peace of mind. We are so grateful to have found our son's home away from home and could not recommend it more highly to any family looking for a loving and trustworthy place for their child.

Our daughter has attended Square One since she was 9 months old and is now 3.5 years old, and we could not be more grateful for the experience our family has had. The teachers have had an incredible impact on her growth and development—from teaching numbers, counting, and the alphabet to fostering social engagement and confidence. They have patiently and lovingly supported her through major milestones such as potty training, learning to eat solids independently, and everything in between. The staff at Square One truly feels like a trusted second home. We always know she is safe, nurtured, and genuinely cared for. Ms. Felicia, the owner, is truly exceptional. She is highly organized, responsive, engaged, and flexible, and she leads with both professionalism and heart. Her love and care for the children is evident in everything she does—she treats them as if they were her own and expects the same from her staff! We feel incredibly blessed to have found Square One. It has been such a meaningful part of our daughter’s early years with our second daughter joining this month! We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

After touring seven daycares in our search for the right fit for our daughter, Square One was clearly a step above the rest. Felicia and the entire staff are amazing—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring toward the children. The facility is immaculate, well organized, and thoughtfully run. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Square One.

My daughter has been going to Square One for a couple of years, and I can't recommend it enough. The teachers and staff there are excellent, and the school is immaculate. They do so many great extracurricular activities throughout the year (especially in the Summer) in addition to the regular curriculum, which is great. My daughter absolutely loves it and my son will be going there next year. Highly recommend!

My son has been attending Square One since he was 7 months old (he is 3.5 now). I cannot say enough good things about this school. My son, who is naturally a bit shy, shines thanks to all of the amazing teachers he has had here. The teachers and staff are incredible. You can tell they really care about the kids and they create programs that are age appropriate. I genuinely feel like my son has learned a ton from Square One and that they foster his love of learning and play. We actually need to leave the school as we are moving more than an hour away and I am devestated! I will miss it so much. What Ms. Felicia and the team have done is incredible. If you are looking for a school that is clean, safe, has an amazing circulum and where your kiddo will be happy, make friends and feel loved, then this is the place you want to be. Thank you Square One for everything - we will miss you so much!!!

If you don’t read past this paragraph, I’ll say, look no further in finding a preschool/daycare for your precious child! As a parent, the idea of leaving your child with total strangers is completely daunting. Touring about 8 different preschools/daycares in the area, I’d like to say that I’ve done the hard work for you, because I would choose Square One Kids Academy 10 times over any other that I have looked into. My family’s experience at Square One has been 5 star. Feeling respected and like we are part of a family, we are always greeted with a warm welcome, smiles, and hugs. It’s clear that the teachers genuinely care about the children and love their jobs. My son’s smile says it all as he enters the classroom in the morning, and when I pick him up at the end of the day. As a first impression, walking into the school, it is immaculately clean. The atmosphere is bright and happy with its welcoming hallways. The décor and paint colors are fresh and up-to-date, and each holiday is celebrated with decorations and a special touch of the children’s talented artwork. The grounds are well-maintained and are utilized for the children to play when the weather is nice. The playground in the rear of the school is fun, safe, and securely fenced-in. Ms. Felicia, the Director of the school, is surely a great judge of character, as all of the teachers at Square One exude positivity, great energy, and quality attributes that I’d want my son to look up to and emulate. They are genuinely kind, caring, and have gotten to know my son for who he is and what his little quirks are; making me feel comfortable to know that they understand how to treat him and tend to him in any given situation. Communication is always readily available, and quickly responsive; whether communicating with Ms. Felicia, or the teachers themselves. Email, and by phone, are immediate ways of communication, while an app the school uses keeps us parents abreast on all the day’s activities, direct messages and notices, photos throughout the day, and summaries of what the children have been up to. This gives peace-of-mind, as I go about my day, wondering if my son is doing ok. When first meeting with Ms. Felicia, I got a complete relaxed tour of the school. All questions and concerns were addressed. Ms. Felicia is super sweet, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. The love she has for all of the little ones shows as she engages with them; even just passing by her office door to say hello and goodbye. Because of the care she has, she runs a tight ship. The doors to get in and out of the school are locked and secure, with no one being allowed to enter without the staff knowing. Square One’s strict policies are certainly in line with my high standards. All classes have a curriculum and a routine to follow throughout the day. It is not a free-for-all of rambunctious kids. I punch a time-clock from the moment I enter the school, to the moment I leave the school. This structure keeps all of the children obedient and on a schedule. With that, what I particularly noticed when first touring, was that every child sat nicely during a story time session, and they were calm, attentive, and under control when walking in a line to another part of the school. Square One is clearly honing quality kids for life, not just babysitting children. The activities planned are different every day, keeping them engaged and looking forward to returning each day, as my son does. If you’ve gotten this far in reading my review, bless you! In my opinion, you will not be disappointed in choosing Square One Kids Academy for your child’s care. As a first-time parent, everything I have mentioned was very important to me in deciding on care for my precious boy; as it was a tough decision to choose to separate from him for a few days a week. I thank the entire staff at Square One for making the transition easier, for both me and my son, and for the love and care they give him and his little friends each day. It is genuinely appreciated by my family and myself. We love our Square One family!
